Lanza and JCC hosted special needs resource fair

On May 5, NYS Senator Andrew  J. Lanza and the JCC of Staten Island hosted their Annual Resource Fair for People with Developmental Disabilities at the Manor Road Jewish Community Center.  The Senator welcomed the special needs community – advocates, families, schools, and agencies – to come together to meet more than 60 exhibitors who service people with developmental disabilities.  Visitors met representatives from day programs, sports programs, special needs schools, camps, therapists, attorneys and more to find out about their offerings.

“This means the world to me,” said Sen. Lanza.  “We do this special needs fair once a year.  We bring caretakers, providers, people from the government, and people from the private sector, all under one roof so our families across Staten Island know the services that are available.”

“It gave me a warm feeling in my heart,” said Life-Wire’s Joseph Padalino, “that he was there for us, people with disabilities.”
